All donations made to Blue Oaks Center (BOC) help to carry on the work done in Preservation of the Baca Barb Endangered Herd. Since 2015 the Bacas have moved from the Extinct Category to Endangered as recognized by Livestock Conservancy. To continue this Rare Preservation Program, BOC must continue to maintain high standards for these animals including good feed and supplements, exercise, training, veterinary care, breeding and foaling using data analysis. While equine costs continue to increase, we are committed to excellence in the quality of care and handling. Ultimately, BOC’s goal is to promote programs for our equine community in disciplines including: Equine Assisted Therapy, Working Equitation, Cowboy Dressage, Trail Riding and more.
